Privacy Policy — Video Dubbing

Last updated: 2026-10-27. Applies to the "Video Dubbing" (Lồng Tiếng Video) browser extension and the site https://dub.vahuna.com.

1. How the extension handles data

• Settings (languages, voices, interface options, translation cache) are stored in your browser on your device and are not sent to us.
• Video audio and images are never sent to our servers. "Listen mode" uses a Whisper model that runs entirely on your device; the model is downloaded once from HuggingFace.
• Free translation: subtitle text (or text you paste in the Read tab) is sent to Google's online translation service to obtain the translation. We do not receive or store it.
• Voices: browser voices are used by default. If you enter your own API key for an AI voice or AI shortening service (e.g. OpenAI, Gemini, ElevenLabs), the text to be spoken/shortened is sent directly from your browser to that provider under its own policy. Your API keys stay on your device.
• The extension needs access to web pages to read video captions and display subtitles/voice on them. Page data is not collected or shared.

2. Premium: data sent to our server

When you activate or renew Premium, the extension sends to https://dub.vahuna.com: your activation key, a random device ID generated by the extension (unrelated to personal or hardware information) and the extension version. We use them to verify the key and limit devices. We do not send your viewing history, page addresses or subtitle content.

3. Purchases

When you create an order we store your email, selected plan, order code, the IP address at order time (abuse prevention) and the payment status. Your email is used to deliver the key and for support. Payment is made by bank transfer or PayPal; we do not receive or store card numbers or payment account passwords. We may see the payer's name and account in the bank/PayPal statement to match payments.

4. Sharing, retention, your rights

• We do not sell or share personal data with third parties, except the email delivery service and payment providers needed to process your order, or when required by law.
• No advertising trackers or behavioral analytics are used in the extension.
• Order and key data are kept while the service is provided and as required for accounting or legal purposes.
• You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal data (email, orders) by emailing support@vahuna.com. Deleting a key means losing Premium access.
